Sam y Bruce reviven nuevamente el espíritu de la trilogía en esta nueva aventura de Ash Williams contra los Deadites. Bruce Campbell no pierde su chispa como Ash Williams y aquí lo presentan ya como un veterano que no ha cambiado nada. La serie es una descabellada mezcla de acción, terror, gore, thriller, comedia y humor negro, lo que la vuelve una combinación de las tres películas originales. Retoma ese aire de terror que tienen Evil Dead y Evil Dead 2, pero también tiene uso de la comedia y la fantasía ya vista en Army Of Darkness. Los efectos especiales son una buena combinación de maquillaje, efectos prácticos y CGI que mantienen el espíritu de las películas originales adaptado a la época más actual. No hay que olvidar la participación de Joseph LoDuca en la banda sonora, al igual que en la trilogía original. Esta temporada es un buen comienzo para regresar a la saga después de varios años y darle satisfacción a la nostalgia que se tiene por la trilogía que inicio todo.
