WATCHED THE FILMS. IT’S BEEN A PLEASANT, WARM DAY OUT THERE ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, AND TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE EVEN WARMER. AND I DO EXPECT MORE SUNSHINE OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW. STILL MILD IN EPHRATA, LANCASTER COUNTY, WHERE 58 DEGREES WITH THE GENTLE BREEZE OUT OF THE WEST NORTHWEST. LOTS OF CLOUDS, BUT WE’RE STILL DRY ON LIVE LOCAL EIGHT AND ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH. EVENTUALLY, THESE CLOUDS WILL PEEL BACK AS WE GO THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING. SO FOR TONIGHT, LOOK FOR TEMPERATURES DIP DOWN INTO THE UPPER 40S TO NEAR 50 DEGREES. AS THE CLOUDS START TO BREAK UP. WE’LL HAVE SOME CLOUDS OUT THERE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING, BUT TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE LOW TO MID 50S. BUT I DO EXPECT LOTS OF SUN THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AND LOOK FOR THOSE TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB WELL ABOVE AVERAGE. AGAIN, WE’LL TOP OFF IN THE MID TO UPPER 70S WILL BE CLOSER TO 80 DEGREES BY THE TIME WE MAKE IT TO THURSDAY. TODAY’S HIGH WAS 73. THE AVERAGE HIGH IS NOW 67, STILL 61 AT THE AIRPORT, 58. IF YOU’RE JOINING US FROM LANCASTER AND 59 AT THIS HOUR IN CHAMBERSBURG, TEMPERATURES STILL RELATIVELY WARM ACROSS THE MID-ATLANTIC AND ACROSS THE CAROLINAS, WHERE WE WERE TRACKING SOME PASSING SHOWERS AND STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF VIRGINIA INTO NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA. THOSE ARE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL STAY OFF TO OUR SOUTH AS HIGH PRESSURE IS FIRMLY IN CONTROL OF OUR WEATHER. SO LARGE AND IN CHARGE. RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE MADE FOR A PLEASANT DAY TODAY. THAT WILL ALSO BE THE CASE FOR TOMORROW, THANKS TO THE WINDS CHANGING DIRECTION THAT’S GOING TO ALLOW THOSE TEMPERATURES TO STAY WELL ABOVE AVERAGE AND CHALLENGE 80 DEGREES AS WE HEAD ON INTO THURSDAY. THINGS START TO CHANGE THOUGH, AS WE GO INTO FRIDAY. STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE GREAT LAKES. FIRST, THE CLOUDS WILL THICKEN UP, BUT WE’RE STAYING DRY FOR MOST OF FRIDAY. IT’S FRIDAY AFTER SUNSET. THE RAIN CHANCES START TO GO UP. COULD SEE A FEW PASSING THUNDER BOOMERS MIXING IN WITH THOSE SHOWERS AS WE GO ON INTO SATURDAY. LOOKS LIKE SATURDAY IS GOING TO BE THE WETTER DAY OF THE TWO, WITH SOME MORNING RAIN AND THEN SOME AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND STORMS IN THIS COLD FRONT. MOVES ON BY HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD BACK IN. SO SUNDAY LOOKS LIKE THE BETTER DAY TO BE OUTSIDE FOR THE WEEKEND AND TEMPERATURES WILL BE A LITTLE BIT COOLER WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 60S. WE DESPERATELY NEED THE RAIN. WE’RE STILL INCREDIBLY DRY FOR THE YEAR. THIS IS THE SEVENTH DRIEST YEAR TO DATE, WITH ONLY 7.25IN OF RAIN SO FAR THIS YEAR OUT AT HARRISBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. SO WARM AND DRY. PLEASANT FOR WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY. MOST OF FRIDAY IS DRY. LOOKS LIKE SATURDAY IS GOING TO BE THE WETTER DAY OF THE WEEKEND. DRIER WEATHER RETURNS ON SUNDAY WITH TEMPERATURES BRIEFLY COOLING BACK DOWN CLOSER TO AVERAGE, AND THEN WE’RE BACK INTO THE 80S BY THIS TIME NEXT WEEK, WITH INCREASING CHANCES FOR SOME PASSING SHO
